Before your appointment..
Stop using all forms of retinol or retin-a 5 days prior to your chemical peel, microneedle, or dermaplane treatment.
If you are prone to cold sores, start using a preventive 1 or 2 days prior to your treatment.
Honestly discuss any health issues, medications, or concerns with your skincare professional for the best possible outcome.
Please arrive a few minutes early to fill out the necessary paperwork.
Post treatment Instructions
Keep your skin dry for the next 6 hrs.
Avoid aerobic exercise or vigorous physical activity for the first 48 hours post peel.
Direct sunlight exposure is to be completely avoided immediately following the treatment (including any strong UV light exposure and tanning beds). If some sun exposure cannot be avoided, first apply sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or greater and reapply during the day.
Your skin is more sensitive to the sun as a result of treatment.
Treat your skin gently; cleanse with a gentle cleanser and cool water for a few days post treatment. Use extra moisturizer and sunblock
DO NOT apply any type of retinoid or retinal agent and avoid all exfoliation products as they can severely damage or irritate the skin during the entire healing process.
DO NOT peel, rub, or scratch your skin at anytime. This WILL cause damage and compromise your results, as well as possibly cause severe scarring or discoloration.
If you experience painful areas of the face, contact your skin care professional immediately.
If you are prone to cold sores, use of preventives and treatments are suggested.
