Self Hypnosis and your attitude

Do you ever catch yourself in a bad mood saying things like, "I will never get this done," "I feel overwhelmed," "I'm not smart enough," "I am" or "I always" and so on?  Well if you do, stop it!

 

You're not doing yourself any favors. Studies have shown that we are the very best at self hypnotizing ourselves into a corner. The more you tell yourself something or say something about yourself, the more true it becomes.

 

Try to re-frame these kinds of statements. For instance, "In the past I've felt like I was overwhelmed, but now I'm open to the possibilities," "I am working on changing this," "I used to ____ but now I'm trying something new..." These self positive statements remind you that you have the power. Mood and demeanor are a choice and you have the power to choose differently, now and in the future.
